Emily Dawidziak

Emily Ann Dawidziak, age 95 of Montello formerly of South Milwaukee found eternal peace Tuesday afternoon, December 28, 2010 at Our House Memory Care in Wisconsin Dells. She was born on September 4, 1915 in Milwaukee to Joseph and Anna (Kuzniecki) Zamorski. Emily married George Dawidziak and together they worked and raised their family in the Milwaukee area. She moved to Montello in 1992, shortly after George passed away to be closer to family. Emily was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary and also a member of the Montello Women's Club. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and making cheesecake. Emily was a very devoted member of the Catholic faith and will be greatly missed. Emily is survived by: one son, Robert (Jean) of Montello, four grandchildren: Anne (Rob Vehring) Dawidziak of Milwaukee, Joe (Ruth) of Burlington, John of Montello and Debbie Dawidziak of Madison. She also survived by six great-grandchildren and two sisters: Adeline (Anthony) Iwaskiewicz of Cudahy and Eleanor Nirschl of South Milwaukee. Emily is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, John and three grandchildren: Julie, Sarah and Marie Dawidziak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello. Visitation will be held at church from noon until the hour of service. Father Richard Lesniak will preside and a private family burial take place at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Cudahy, WI at a later date. Crawford Funeral Home of Montello is serving the family.
