Elizabeth Bartelt

Elizabeth H. Bartelt, age 84 of Montello passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, December 30, 2014 at the Montello Care Center. Elizabeth was born in Clarksville, Tennessee to Robert and Myrtle (Suiter) Baggett on January 3, 1930. She married Donald Bartelt on October 3, 1953 in Clarksville and together they moved from Oak Creek to the Montello in the late 1970's. Donald preceded Elizabeth in death on January 12, 2012. Elizabeth was an avid fisherwoman and also enjoyed restoring furniture, reading and flea marketing.

Elizabeth is survived by her three sons: Dennis of Milwaukee, Daniel of Montello and Dale of Packwaukee. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Cassandra (David), Joshua, Jeremy, Crystal (Gary), Daniel Jr. and Amanda as well as five great-grandchildren. Elizabeth is further survived by several siblings, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, several siblings and other family members.

A funeral service for Elizabeth will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home of Montello. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Pastor Brenda Pulver will officiate and burial will follow at the Montello City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
