Eleanor Bubolz

Eleanor Adelaide (Geske) Bubolz, age 87, of Montello passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Divine Savior Extended Care in Portage, WI. Eleanor was born on August 11, 1922 in Montello to Harry and Ella (Draeger) Geske. She graduated from Montello High School in 1940 and on March 30, 1946 she married Walter Bubolz in Milwaukee at Bethesda Lutheran Church. Eleanor was employed at Western Union in Chicago for several years as well as Cutler Hammer in Milwaukee until returning to Montello where she worked as a cook for the Montello School District for 23 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Montello Fire Belles and also the Montello American Legion Post 351 Auxiliary. Eleanor will always be remembered for her great sense of humor her wonderful apple pies; she also enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and watching the birds, and most importantly spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by everyone and remembered as the loving caring person that she was. Survivors include: her husband of almost 65 years, four children: Janell (Michael) Jacobson of New Lisbon, Glen (Carol) of Montello, John (Nanta) of Oshkosh, and James (Amy) of Beaver Dam and ten grandchildren: Brent (Bonnie) Jacobson of Mauston, Danielle (Roger) McGuire of New Lisbon, Jenny (Steve) Barganz of Montello, April (Matt) Mohrenweiser of Brainerd, MN, Jana (fianci�½ Aaron Vogelsang) Bubolz of Montello, Andrew Bubolz of Montello, Seth Bubolz, Emilie Bubolz, Julia Bubolz, and Natalie Bubolz all of Beaver Dam. Four great-grandchildren: Nathan, Anna, and Emily Barganz and Carmella McGuire. Eleanor is further survived by her sister-in-law, Florence Geske of Milwaukee, niece, Emma (Jim) Sainsbury of Endeavor and also three nephews: Bruce Williams of California, Lloyd Geske Jr. of Milwaukee, and Wayne Bubolz. Eleanor is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Lloyd Geske Sr. Following Eleanor's wishes, she was cremated and a graveside prayer service will be held on Friday, August 27, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at the Montello City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Eleanor's name.
