Elaine Liegel

Elaine Helen Liegel , age 94 of Madison passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Columbia Health Care Center in Wyocena.  Elaine was born in Plain on February 13, 1926 to Albert and Elizabeth (Kraemer) Liegel.  She graduated from St. Luke's Catholic High School.  Elaine held several different jobs throughout her career, ultimately retiring from the State of Wisconsin as a computer operator.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking and continued to be an active member of the Catholic Faith.

Elaine is survived by three siblings: Janice (Wayne) Pivotto of Baraboo and Robert (Mary) of Kenosha.  She is further survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Virginia (Earl) Bruening and brother, Fred (Esther) Liegel.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Elaine Liegel will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.  Father John Silva will preside and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
