Edward Campbell Sr.

Edward Charles Campbell Sr., age 84 of Packwaukee passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023 at his home.  Ed was born in Braddock, Pennsylvania on December 19, 1938 to Elmer and Lurlene Campbell.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and on March 4, 1961 was united in marriage to Alice Linsenbigler in Winchester, Virginia.  Together they moved to Wisconsin and relocated several times.  They owned and operated the Longbranch Tavern in West Rosendale and later Badger Video in Montello.  Ed enjoyed fishing, shooting pool and throwing darts.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and especially his canine companion, Sadie.

Ed is survived by two sons: Edward Jr. (Sue) of Oshkosh and Baron (Ann) of Neshkoro as well as eleven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.  He is further survived by extended family members and many friends.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Alice in April of 2017.

A funeral service for Edward Campbell Sr. will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 2:30 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.  Pastor Larry Sheppard will conduct the service and burial with full military honors by American Legion Post #351 of Montello will follow the service at Underhill Cemetery, Town of Packwaukee.  In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be established in Ed’s name.
