Duane Phillips

Duane 'Duke' Phillips, age 23 of Montello/Deforest died unexpectedly on Thursday evening March 10, 2011 at his home. Duke was born on September 9, 1987 in Madison to Andrew 'Pete' and Melissa 'Missy' (Grosse) Phillips and was raised by his grandparents Duane and Phyllis Phillips of rural Montello. Duke loved to make people smile; he enjoyed playing the guitar, riding his four-wheeler, country music, fishing and going to festivals. He leaves behind a wonderful and loving family that will miss him very much. Duke is survived by his parents, paternal grandparents and siblings: Emily (fianci�½ Jess Watson) Phillips, Evan (fianci�½ Hope Bar) Phillips. He is further survived by his nephew, Andrew, maternal grandmother, Alice Grosse, maternal grandfather, Thomas Grosse and great-grandmother, Lucille Grosse as well as his loving canine companion, Ginger and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
