Dorothy Conti

Dorothy Mae Conti, age 89 of Montello and formerly of Cedarburg passed away early Thursday morning, September 17, 2015 at the Montello Care Center. Dorothy was born in Muskegon, Michigan to Frederick and Caroline (Hofer) Gilbert on August 13, 1926. Dorothy married Charles "Chuck" Conti on June 30, 1951 in Milwaukee. Together they worked and lived in Greenfield for many years before retiring to Cedarburg. They moved to Montello in 2010 to be closer to family. Chuck preceded Dorothy in death on April 15, 2015. Dorothy loved to cook, bake, sing and listen to music. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family who were very important to her. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters: Carrie (Darrel) Boggs of Montello and Cathy Conti of Westfield as well as granddaughter, Krystal Reimer of Portage. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren: Shelby and Carson as well as eight siblings: Della Seymour, Carl Gilbert, Faye Ruleau, Chuck (Doris) Gilbert, Pat Gilbert, Mike (Barb) Gilbert, Ted (Vicki) Gilbert and Sue (Don) Anderson. Dorothy is further survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends. Following Dorothy's wishes, private family services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015.
