Donna Colton

Donna Marie Colton , age 87 of Milwaukee (formerly of Montello) passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020.  Donna was born on July 5, 1933 in Montello to Edwin and Edna (Cummings) Ritchie and graduated from Montello High School in 1951.  She moved to Milwaukee and married Ronald Colton on May 15, 1954.  He preceded her in death on December 13, 1986.  Donna was a keypunch operator when she worked for Harnischfeger Manufacturing in Milwaukee for 40 years until she retired. She was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church.  She spent sunny days in her yard and garden where she enjoyed many flowers, birds and butterflies.  She was also fond of eating out and shopping with her friends.  She had a loving kind heart and acts of service was her love language, as she cared for many who have gone before her.

Donna is survived by several dear friends in the Milwaukee area: Judy Salentine, Janet Spicuzza, Lin O’Connor, Narcie (Paul) Peterson as well as Victoria (Ty) Simpson of Texas.  In addition to her parents and husband, Donna is also preceded in death by her longtime companion, Graydon Gray Sr.

Honoring Donna’s wishes, she will be laid to rest at the Montello City Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to MACC Fund, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin or Make A Wish Foundation in Donna’s name.  A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
