Donald Edward Claesges, age 68 of Montello/Harrisville died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday evening, August 22nd, 2010 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born to John and Margaret (Zabors) Claesges on September 24th, 1941 in West Milwaukee. He married Carol Hintz on June 6th, 1964 and dedicated his 35-year career to the City of Milwaukee as a System Analyst. Upon his retirement, Don and Carol moved to Montello, where they helped their son at B&B's Country Store. Don delighted in spending time with his grandkids, family and friends, fishing, volunteering at the Montello Historical Society, and traveling. Don is survived by his loving wife, Carol and his three sons: Mark (Stacy) of Germantown, Michael (Dani) of Eau Claire, and Bryan (Becki) of Montello. Don is also survived by his seven beautiful granddaughters Katlyn, MacKenzie, Jillian, Allison, Corinne, Kylie, and Madilynn. He is preceded in death by his mother, father and beloved dog, Rosie. A Celebration of Life will be held at Marquette Community Church on Thursday, August 26th at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Kirt Schmidt officiating. There will be no visitation. A private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family; a memorial is being established in Don's name for the WE CARE FUND to find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
