Deryl Kenneth Denman, age 80 of Montello passed away peacefully Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. Deryl was born in Waukegan, IL to Kenneth and Mary (Bauman) Denman on December 31, 1944. He graduated from Antioch High School and furthered his education at the General Motors Institute in Michigan. Deryl married Jane Lassen and together they had two daughters and later divorced. He found love again, marrying Eileen (Kroll) Carpenter on March 22, 1997; together they lived near Jordon Lake and in 2011 moved to their home on Emery Lake. Deryl’s career spanned many years and was always in the auto industry, he was even the crew chief for the Owens Corning Corvette Race Car Team. Deryl was an avid runner, participating in the Boston Marathon several times. He will be remembered for his love of his constant canine companions.
Deryl leaves behind his wife, Eileen and two daughters: Melissa (David Highdale) Denman and Marcy Fitzgerald as well as Eileen’s son, Ian (Kayleigh) Carpenter. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Gabrielle, Graham, Quinn and Jack along with his brother, Dean “Charlie” (Gale Ford) and several other extended family members.
Deryl is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Janie Denman.
Honoring Deryl’s wishes, private family services will be held.
