Deloris Campbell

Deloris O. Campbell, age 92 of Montello passed away peacefully, Wednesday evening, April 25, 2012 at the Home Health United St. Clare Hospice House in Baraboo. She was born on October 27, 1919 at home in Lewiston Township, Columbia County to Harry and Lillie Paulson. Deloris attended elementary school in Wyocena and graduated from Portage High School in 1937. On November 19, 1938 she married Clayton Campbell in Dubuque, IA; he preceded her in death on June 29, 1998. Deloris lived her entire married life in Montello. She worked for J.R. Williams Fruit Farm, Weyenberg's Shoe Factory as well as Montello Products for over 20 years until retiring in 1982. Some of the hobbies Deloris enjoyed were watching birds; she felt so blessed for this year's early spring that allowed her to enjoy the unexpected presence of a pair of blue birds for the entire winter. She also enjoyed playing cards and spending time the kitchen baking and cooking. Most of all she immensely enjoyed spending time with her family, especially taking her grandchildren to Little Amana, Iowa. Deloris is survived by her two daughters: Phyllis Campbell of Montello and Judy (Joe) Weiss of Montello and three sons: Richard (Joanie) of Baraboo, John (Sherri) of Montello and Dan (Diana) of Montello. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members. Deloris is preceded in death by her parents, husband and five siblings: Bernice, Eleanor, Fern, Archie and Lloyd. She is also preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Belle Campbell. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 12:00 pm (noon) at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the hour of service. Pastor Terry Temanson will officiate and burial will follow at Underhill Cemetery, Packwaukee Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
