Delores Wheeler

Delores Ruth Wheeler, age 88 of Montello passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, May 12, 2015 at Our House Memory Care in Wisconsin Dells. Delores was born in Waukesha on May 10, 1927 to Ralph and Ruth (Cull) Wheeler. Upon finishing high school, she entered Holy Family Convent in Manitowoc and following her training she moved to Ohio serving as a nun in several different areas and capacities. Delores later attended Creighton University and graduated as a pharmacist and went to work in hospital settings. Delores was a very kind and quiet person and enjoyed reading and spending time with her cats. She was a long time member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello. Delores is survived by her sister, Joyce (Charles) Albert of Eagle and her brother, Jim Wheeler of Kirkland, WA as well as nieces and nephews: Diane (Dale), Lyle, Charles (Linda), Thomas, John, Kathryn, Peter, Robert and Lisa. Delores is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Tom Wheeler. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello. There will be no visitation. Father Tim Renz will officiate and inurnment will follow the service at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, town of Montello. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 277 E. Montello Street, Montello, 53949.
