Dean Terry Luedtke, age 86 of Montello passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. Dean was born in Fond du Lac on October 3, 1933 to Roy and Virginia (Guell) Luedtke. He graduated from Fond du Lac High School and went on to serve his country as a member of the United States Navy. Dean married Judith Meyers on August 6, 1960 at United Methodist Church in Fond du Lac; that union blessed them with two sons.
Dean managed his father’s window and door factory (Luedtke Manufacturing) in Bloomer and went on to purchase the Bloomer Bowl with his wife Judy and together they operated it from 1975 until 1986. They later purchased Bloomer Hardware and operated it until 2002 when they retired and moved to Montello. Dean enjoyed being outside; especially cutting firewood.
Dean leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Judy and two sons: Scott of Dousman and David (Amber) of Bloomer as well as a grandson, Jeremey (Ana) and great-grandson, Cullen. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Deborah.
Dean is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary.
Honoring Dean’s wishes, private family services will be held.
