Dawn Whipple

Dawn Laverne Whipple, age 76 of Packwaukee passed away Monday, December 2, 2024 at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Dawn was born on October 1, 1948 to Donald and Dorthy (Sazama) Fischer in Milwaukee. She graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee and became a beautician. After moving to Oxford, Dawn and Gary Whipple found each other in 1981 and were married in 1997 and were blessed with two daughters.

Dawn enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles and history. She was also an avid football and nascar fan. Dawn will be remembered for kindness and contagious smile.

Dawn is survived by her husband, Gary and two daughters: Summer Whipple and Catrina (Charles) Reed. She is also survived by her brother, Donnie (Barbara) Fischer and several other extended family members. Dawn is preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service for Dawn Whipple will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home in Oxford. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
