Dale Lautenbach

Dale Allen Lautenbach, age 88 of Wisconsin Dells passed away Friday morning, April 29, 2016 at the Montello Care Center. Dale was born in Granton, Wisconsin to Oscar and Catherine (Seltrecht) Lautenbach on March 12, 1928. Dale went back to work on the family farm at an early age and later became a truck driver. He married Rose Becker on September 21, 1957 and together they raised their three children in West Allis. Dale and Rose owned property and camped in the Westfield area for many years until retiring and moving to Wisconsin Dells permanently in 1996. Dale enjoyed being outside: hunting, fishing, cutting wood and mowing his lawn. He and Rose enjoyed going out for dinner at the Haystack Supper Club and listening to polka music. Dale was always up for a game of cards, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and especially his grandkids. He will be greatly missed. Dale is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rose and three children: Anton (Julie) of Beloit, Mike of Brookfield and Catherine (Curtis) Arrowood of West Allis. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Nathaniel (Audrey), Matthew (Sarah), Adam, Lynette, Rebecca, Caitlyn, and Tyler as well as five great-grandchildren: Madison, Olivia, James, Ava and Maggie. Dale is further survived by his sisters-in-law: Alene, Gerry and Dorothy Pignet and new friends Kailey & Ellie as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Dale is preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Debbie and siblings: Ralph, Beatrice (Lee) Schultz, Elaine (Bud) Paulson, Donald and Richard (Idelle) as well as other extended family members. A memorial service for Dale will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Crawford Funeral Home of Oxford. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the hour of service. Pastor Brenda Pulver will preside and private family inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be established in Dale's name.
