Clarence Menge

Clarence Bernard Menge, age 86 of Montello (Lake Puckaway) passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 peacefully at his home with his wife by his side.  Clarence was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 16, 1936 to Otto and Ella (Schade) Menge.  He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marines.  Following his time in the service, Clarence returned to Milwaukee and became a welder at American Motors Corporation.  Clarence married Rita (Ferguson) Sonnenburg on February 15, 2003 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Milwaukee; they moved to rural Montello in the same year.

Clarence loved life and was full of it!  He was proud of his service to his country and will be remembered for his sense of humor and the love he had for Rita.

Clarence leaves behind his wife, Rita as well as other family and friends.

Honoring Clarence’s wishes, a private Mass of Christian Burial for him will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice as well as Marquette County EMS for all their care and support throughout Clarence’s final days.
