Carol Potter

Carol M. Potter (nee McCann), age 72 of Montello, formerly of Milwaukee passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, October 16, 2012 at the Montello Care Center. She was born in Milltown, WI on December 17, 1939 to Donald and Harriet (Jensen) McCann. Carol married Gary Potter on June 27, 1959 at the First Lutheran Church in West Allis, WI and together they raised their two sons in Milwaukee. They moved to Montello from Waterford in 2004. Carol spent her life selflessly helping and caring for others despite her many illnesses. She spent countless hours crafting and took special pride in making pocket crosses for friends, family and anyone in need. Carol loved and enjoyed taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Carol is survived by her husband and her two sons: Kevin (Lauri) of Lebanon and Timothy (Ellen) of Waterford as well as five grandchildren: Jessica, Kimberly, Traci (Alex), Andrew and Lisa. She is also survived by a great-granddaughter, Natali. Carol is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gary McCann. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity (Little Mecan) Lutheran Church, W1164 Fern Drive, Montello. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Pastor Dale Boening will preside and a private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
