Carla Spinnato

Carla Rae Spinnato, age 68 of Montello passed away peacefully Friday morning, October 2, 2015 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Fond du Lac. Carla was born in Portage to William and Anna (Barron) Salzwedel on April 20, 1947. She attended Montello High School and married Robert Kollaszar in 1964. Together they had two sons: Robert Jr. and Shane; he preceded her in death in 1997. Carla married Michael Spinnato at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church on her birthday, April 20, 2002 and together enjoyed life to its fullest. Carla enjoyed gardening, playing slot machines, rummage sales and animals. Carla's trip to Cancun with her friend Mary was very exciting for them. Her family was very important to her and the gatherings they had made many cherished memories. Carla will be remembered for her caring personality, friendly demeanor and her smile. Carla is survived by her husband, Michael and son, Shane (Linda) Kollaszar of Montello and two sisters: Mary (Randy) Isberner of Montello and Janice (Michael) Kollaszar of Crandon. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Stacy Kollaszar and two granddaughters: Kayla (Sam) and Shelby as well as great-grandchildren: Aurora and Graeson. She is further survived by brothers-in-law: David (Mary) Kollaszar, Phillip Kollaszar, Kenneth (Julie) Kollaszar and Allen Wilkomm and sisters-in-law: Evelyn (Ronald) Blada and Christina Kollaszar and her husband Michael's extended family of fourteen. Carla is even further survived by many nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Carla is preceded in death by her parents, step-fathers: Roland Priske, George Buchanan, husband, son, Robert Kollaszar Jr., mother and father-in-law, Alice and Joseph Spinnato, mother and father-in-law, Michael and Florence Kollaszar and brother, Roy Salzwedel and sisters: Donna (William) Coleman and Sandra Krueger. She is also preceded in death by brothers-in-law: James Isberner, Don Daniels, James Kollaszar, Lawrence Kollaszar, Emell Mire as well as sisters-in-law: Beverly Mire, Beth Wilkomm, Yvonne Kollaszar and Kathy Spinnato. A memorial service for Carla will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. Pastor Pete Zietlow will officiate and private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
