Bunetta Drew

Bunetta L. Drew, age 80, of Oxford passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 25, 2011 at Tivoli nursing home in Portage. Bunetta was born in the Town of Spirit near Rib Lake, WI on March 31, 1931 to George and Sadie (Salverson) Meier. She married Ernest Lind in 1948 and together they had eight children; he preceded her in death in 1968. She later remarried Bryon Drew and together they had two children. Bunetta enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with her many animals. Most of all she loved to take care of her numerous grandchildren and spend time with her family. Bunetta is survived by eight children: Cindy Lind of Portage, Art Lind of Oxford, Michael (Joann) Lind of Endeavor, Leon Lind of Oxford, Andrew (Vickie) Lind of Portage, Ned (Nissa) Lind of Oxford, Allen Drew of Oxford and Vanessa Drew of Oxford. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren as well as siblings: Gardia Meier, Betty Schnieder and Owen Meier. She is further survived by many other family members and dear friends. Bunetta is preceded in death by her parents, husbands and two sons: Eugene and Timothy Lind as well as two siblings: Jack and George Meier. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at New Beginnings Christian Community Church in Westfield. Visitation will held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Pastor Terry Temanson will preside and following the traditional service Bunetta will be cremated. Private family inurnment will take place at Oxford Village Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
