Bonnie Lou Langrehr, age 66 of Westfield passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Bonnie was born in Portage on January 25, 1952 to Edward and Ruth (Conrad) Lange. She married Virgil Langrehr on October 3, 1969 in Westfield and together they moved to La Crosse and then returned home to the Westfield area where they have resided ever since. Virgil preceded Bonnie in death on February 12, 2018.
Bonnie worked for many years for Cheese Pleasers, retiring in 2015. She loved to cook and had the gift to strike up a conversation with anyone. Bonnie was everyone’s favorite babysitter and shared Virgil’s interest in collecting wolf figurines. She was proud of her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Bonnie is survived by her son, Robert (fiancé Liana Fredette) of Coloma and three grandchildren: Brandon, Bridget and Ryan. She is also survived by her siblings: Ronald (Laura) Lange of Westfield, Robert (Jean) Lange of Westfield and Mary (Ed) Zwolinski of Westfield. Bonnie is further survived by her sister-in-law, Patty Lange of Wisconsin Rapids as well as several extended family members and many friends.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Virgil, son, Virgil Ernest Langrehr Jr. and brothers: Duane Lange and Dennis Rucks.
A funeral service for Bonnie Langrehr will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the hour of service. Pastor Brenda Pulver will officiate and burial will take place at a later date in the Harrisville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family.
