Arthur LaFlex Jr.

Arthur Edward LaFlex Jr., age 88 of Oxford passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Our House Assisted Living in Portage with his daughter by his side. Arthur was born in Sheboygan on March 18, 1936 to Arthur Sr. and Margaret LaFlex. After graduating from high school in the Milwaukee Area he served in the United States Navy. Arthur married Romain Shuda on April 27, 1957 in Milwaukee. Together they moved several times until permanently settling outside of Oxford for over 50 years. While in Oxford, Arthur owned and operated Frenchy’s Dollhouse Restaurant. He and Romain relished 67 years of marriage before her passing just four months ago. Arthur was a baker by trade but had many hobbies: crafting, quilting, painting and staining glass as well as pottery. He will be remembered for his wit, sense of humor and being a good family man.

Arthur is survived by three children: Joseph (Edith) of Georgia, Scott (Keith) Gordon of Georgia and Dawn LaFlex of Baraboo as well as daughter-in-law, Glory LaFlex. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, wife and son, Dean.
