Arnold Riley

Arnold "Arnie" J. Riley, age 61 of Oxford passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, November 10, 2014. Arnie was born on October 4, 1953 in Wisconsin Dells to Earl and Alice (Borud) Riley. Arnie married Cherie Zinke at the Oxford Bible Church on April 21, 1979 and together they were blessed with five children; she preceded him in death on July 3, 2000.

Arnie was employed as a mechanic by H.A. Freitag and Son Automotive in Montello for over thirty years. He was an avid racing fan and also enjoyed watching football. In his younger years, he took time to fish and still enjoyed spending time outdoors. Arnie will be remembered for his sense of humor, strong faith and the love he had for his family. Arnie leaves behind his five children: Melissa Riley of Oxford, Janet (Dominic) Flath of Baraboo, Allison Riley of Oxford, Samantha (Matthew) Fischer of Packwaukee and Jason Riley of Oxford as well as two grandsons: Isaac and Caidan Flath. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Molly Zinke, brother, Chris (Charlotte) and sister, Rosanne Leege as well as nieces, nephews and other family members. Arnold is preceded in death by his parents, wife, father-in-law, Gene Zinke and brother-in-law, Terry Leege. A funeral service for Arnold Riley will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Oxford Bible Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home of Oxford and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Pastor Jonathan Robertson, Pastor Dominick Thoman and Pastor Donald Wedel will officiate together and burial will follow at the Oxford Village Cemetery.
