Arnold Krueger

Arnold "Arnie" O. Krueger, age 82 of Montello passed away Friday morning, April 1, 2016 at Meriter Hospital in Madison. Arnie was born on the family farm in the town of Packwaukee, Marquette County on February 1, 1934 to Gustav and Martha (Salzwedel) Krueger. He married Joyce Kral on June 12, 1954 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Packwaukee. Arnie worked for the Montello Granite Company until the quarry closed, followed by Gatzke's Muck Farm and later retired from TW Design in Montello after many years of faithful employment. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Packwaukee. Arnie enjoyed farm work, riding and fixing tractors, motorcycles and atv's. He and Joyce enjoyed camping and being in the outdoors. Arnie loved his family very much and will be greatly missed. Arnie leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Joyce and three sons: Randy (Laura), Rick (Bette) and Gregg all of Montello and step-daughter, Diane Lewis of Madison. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Heather (Jeff) Richards, Chad (Rachael) Krueger, Jonathan (Emily) Krueger, Michelle (Tom) O'Malley and Amy (Tim) Baker as well as step-grandchildren: Corey Lewis and Paige Gutierrez and twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Arnie is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Clarence (Marge), Ervin (Flora), Marvin (Florence), Alex (Millie), Vernetta (Don) Kiefer and Ann (George) Floeter. A funeral service for Arnold will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Packwaukee. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. Pastor Larry Sheppard will preside and burial will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery, town of Packwaukee. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be established in Arnie's name.
