Arline M. Paczkowski, age 76 of Montello, passed away peacefully, Tuesday afternoon, October 9, 2012 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Arline was born on September 14, 1936 to Ted and Regina (Gradecki) Jagodzinski. She married Ken Paczkowski in Milwaukee on May 4, 1957; together they worked and lived in the Milwaukee area until moving to Montello in the early 1980's. Ken preceded her in death on April 5, 2011. Arline worked most of her life as an activity director in Milwaukee and at the Montello Care Center and later retired from the Wautoma Care Center in 1998. In retirement, she continued to work as a consultant for the Montello Care Center while her health allowed. Arline enjoyed working on arts and crafts, baking and volunteering. She and Ken traveled and enjoyed attending craft fairs together. Arline was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Montello where she was a member of St. Ann's Counsel of Catholic Women; she spent countless hours organizing soup n' sandwich night and many bake sales. She also enjoyed having lunch with her friends at the Montello Senior Center. Arline loved spending time with her family and especially supporting her grandchildren in their academic and extra-curricular activities. She will be greatly missed. Arline leaves behind two daughters: Lori Paczkowski of Montello and Kelly Finzel of Westfield. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Ken, Kevin, Leah, and David as well as a great-grandson, Kadin. Arline is further survived by her brother, Kenneth Jay of Milwaukee and son-in-law, Kevin Finzel as well as nieces, nephews and many friends. Arline is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ken and sister, Diane Manial. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Father Dave Carrano will officiate and burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Montello. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Budda-Box Fight Against Cancer, P.O. Box 91, Westfield 53964.
