Alan Edward Hildebrand, age 85 of Oxford passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Gunderson Moundview Hospital in Friendship, WI. 

Alan was born on July 6, 1939 in Elmhurst, Illinois to Edward and Sigred (Wegrin) Hildrebrand. After high school, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Following his time in service, Alan became involved in the Automotive Collision Repair Industry. He operated auto body repair shops for many years in the Chicagoland area and was widely known for his stance on the use of unsafe aftermarket parts during the auto repair process. Alan was the State Chairman for I-CAR, a member of the Inter-industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, the President of an Automotive Service Association Chapter of Illinois, and the State Chairman of the Society of Collision Repair Specialists. 

Alan came to Oxford, WI to enjoy the outdoors, especially fishing. He will be remembered for his storytelling ability and sense of humor. Alan is survived by several close friends who he treated like family and is preceded in death by his parents.

Honoring Alan's wishes, no services will be held.
