Agnes A. Flynn, age 96, of Montello went to her Lord and Savior early Thursday, November 25, 2010 from the Montello Care Center. Agnes was born on September 4, 1914 in Montello the youngest of seven children to James and Amelia (Warnke) Flynn. Agnes never married and was a lifelong resident of Montello. Agnes was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montello. She was a property abstractor by trade and served as the Marquette County Register of Deeds for two terms. Agnes was also known to be an avid trout fisherman, bowler and flower gardener. She will be greatly missed. Agnes is survived by two nephews: Wayne (Evanell) Johnson of Tomah and James (Lois) Flynn of Brown Deer. She is also survived by a niece, Jean (Richard) Ziebell of Montello. Agnes is preceded in death by three brothers: Edwin, James and Walter as well as three sisters, Louise Flynn, Helen Flynn, and Ella Johnson. She is also preceded in death by 5 nieces: Donna Maio, Shirley Mehne, Beverly Peck, Patricia Dalton and Ruth Bruce. A funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Pastor Pete Zietlow will preside and burial will follow the service at the Montello City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to either St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church or the Montello City Cemetery. Crawford Funeral Home of Montello is assisting the family with arrangements.
