Adelaide 'Addie' Catherine Krentz, age 89 of Montello passed away peacefully, Saturday afternoon, May 26, 2012 at Martha's CBRF in Princeton. Addie was born in Flushing, New York on April 4, 1923 to Walter and Adelaide (Scherg) Klee. Addie was working as a secretary for Montgomery Wards when she met Ernest Krentz while he was stationed in New York serving in World War II. She later moved to Montello and married Ernie on February 23, 1946. Together they farmed in the Town of Montello and raised two children, Kenneth and Carol. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over fifty years. Some of Addie's hobbies were: gardening, reading and crossword puzzles. She lived on the family farm until 2007, then moved in with family and in 2010 she moved to Martha's in Princeton. Addie will be greatly missed by her daughter, Carol (Tom) Stempniak of Montello as well as six grandchildren: Angela (Phil) Femali of Princeton, Amy (Jesse) Ruth of Portland, OR, Andrea Stempniak of Eau Claire, Derek (Jackie) Krentz of Montello, Korey (Sarah) Krentz of Montello and Jason of Green Bay. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren: Alex, Chloe, Austin, Emma, Joey, Kate, Keegan and Cole. Addie is preceded in death by her husband, Ernie on August 24, 1993 and her son Kenny on November 25, 2011. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Rev.
